Have You Heard: Bambu
Sunday, March 22nd, 2009
Also, on the same note as World Wide Fred, Bambu is a great company that makes bamboo kitchen utensils and bowls. They are wonderfully simple, but beautiful at the same time. I can’t wait to move to my new home and fill my kitchen with them!
Low bamboo bowls great for daily use.
A three part tray perfect for appetizers!
Bambu can also be found at many local stores. Yay for beautiful things!
Have You Heard: World Wide Fred
Sunday, March 22nd, 2009
World Wide Fred has to be one of my favorite companies. Not only are their products useful, but they are hilarious.
Here are just a few of their amazing products.
Sewer cap doormats that look exactly like the ones in these cities!
They make some fantastic ice cube trays. This is one of my favorites.
Guitar shaped ice cubes! I recently sent these to my best friend, an avid guitarist.
Best of all, many of their products can be found in many local stores. No waiting for them to ship!
Have you heard: Yulia Bridskaya

If you haven’t experienced the work of Yulia Bridskaya, then you are missing out! A Russian born, London based Illustrator and Graphic Designer, Yulia’s work is truly inspiring.
Enjoy!
Have you taken the handmade pledge?
Monday, January 19th, 2009
I have!
The pledge: I pledge to buy handmade for myself and my loved ones, and request that others do the same for me.
The website: http://www.buyhandmade.org/
I believe that the idea of a handmade life is a great one. I think that handmade brings an intimacy between the buyer and creator that cannot be achieved with mass produced items. I’m excited for this new year and can’t wait to get my new etsy shop filled with books and other great things!
Happy making my friends!
